Do you still think of Henry as a mean, selfish king? Well, I assure you that he has learned from his previous mistakes. He had an unhappy life. He knew he needed to make some changes to make this life happier. To make himself happy, he needs to make his family happy. So that is his current goal. Sure, he wants to become rich, but he’s not going to sacrifice his family life to do it.
The twins have aged up. Percival is Good and Patricia is Insane. They both got their dad’s coloring. Okay, so Patricia has a bit of her old dad in her with that Insane trait. With love and care, I think Henry can help her overcome it.
Melinda is a great mother. Here she is reading a story to Percival. She is helping Henry to realize that their children are an important part of their legacy’s success.
Melinda has been collecting, collecting, collecting while the children are in school. The cottage is nearly finished. Just a few appliance and plumbing upgrades are needed. Oh, and a real desk and chair.
There’s not much to chronicle right now. The family is working on their skills, school, work and aspirations. I’m a slave driver! I am, but Henry and Melinda make sure that I don’t get too carried away.
So, Percival got an A in school and got a hat? What’s up with that? I guess he needed to establish some of his own independence. Henry believes in letting his children decide their own life choices. To a point.
Justina had her teen birthday. Now, she’s not only Hot-Headed but Childish as well. Good thing she’s not the heir! She is quite good looking though. She’s a real challenge for her parents. Always stomping around and starting arguments.
Now that Melinda has pretty much raised her children, she’s going to get a job in the Culinary career. Her salary will definitely help the household. They need a bit of a boost in income for Henry to achieve his aspiration of Fabulously Wealthy.
Justina is also going to get a job. In Manual Labor. Oh, she has to garden. Well, that’s just dandy. She needs to be kept busy to stop her shenanigans. Henry believes that the best way to do that is to give her a job. It’s only on the weekends after all.
The twins are now teenagers. They’ve both rolled the Materialistic trait. Their parents will have to be sure that they understand that just buying “things” will not make them happy. Percival wants to be a Freelance Botanist. I think that this is a good choice for him.
I forgot that Melinda was going to become an elder on this birthday. Henry just had his adult birthday so she’s quite a bit older than he is. He will be very unhappy when she’s taken by Grim.
