This is the beginning of my new game, The Drifter Challenge. You can find the rules here: The Drifter Challenge. Please remember that I’m not a writer so I will only be documenting the important milestones.
House No. 1
Molly Drifter is the founder of this challenge. She is Active, Loves the Outdoors and is Cheerful. Believe it or not, these were the random traits rolled for her. She (and I) lucked out.
The lot traits for Molly’s “home” are Quake Zone, Penny Pixies, and Great Soil. I decided I had to choose one bad trait and two good ones. (Which I forgot to initiate until Molly’s garden was well established.)
Molly has caught her first fish.
The second fish doesn’t come so easily. That is so not a fish!
Well, I thought that Molly could grill a fish if she had one in her inventory. Apparently not. So she grills hotdogs.
So the fish got sold along with the few collectibles she dug up. Barely enough for a toilet.
It’s after midnight before Molly gets some much needed rest.
The next morning, Molly eats her (rescued from her inventory) hotdogs before doing some more collecting.
She got a good haul from her collecting today. She has enough simoleons to buy a sink, bed and radio.
She’s so grungy that she had to wash her hands about a million times in the new sink.
It’s time for Molly to start her garden.
She really needs to talk to someone. Now!
Molly looks like she is thinking, “Is this all that’s available in town?”
Tomas isn’t pretty. But, he is single. Some cloud gazing in the middle of the road improves their relationship. And, her fun bar.
Dancing is the only fun that Molly has right now. It’s really not enough. I’ll have to work on that.
Molly found out that Tomas McManus is unemployed and his traits are Slob, Snob and Glutton. Not very redeeming qualities but he won’t have a job anyway. Too bad he’s not Neat though.
Go away, Vlad! You’re not wanted here!
Molly got an enclosed bathroom just in time for the sink to break.
You again? Go AWAY!
Tomas has moved in with Molly. I found out why he is angry a lot. He has the Dastardly trait from his aspiration of Chief of Mischief. That’s just great. Not. They have two twin beds instead of a double because they aren’t romantic yet. Because Tomas has been a poop.
Molly’s garden is doing very well. Her aspiration is Freelance Botanist in case I forgot to tell you.
Finally! Boyfriend status! She now has other ways to have fun 😉
It’s so difficult for me not to try to control Tomas! He has so few redeeming qualities. Including eating garbage. Eew! Well, he has one. He is only ten days to elder. I’m so bad! Right?
Molly has purchased two Reward Traits, Frugal and Steel Bladder.
She is not collecting right now because it takes her pregnant self so long to get from place to place. Her garden is starting to bring in some decent money.
Wow! And, Molly is only in her second trimester! Is there more than one baby in there?
Tomas, please stop breaking stuff!
You made this. Now you have to marry me! Good thing he agreed!
It shook Molly up so bad that…It’s baby time! A boy has arrived to join the Drifter family. His name is Charlie.
Tomas slept on a bench during the whole thing.
What is it about this bench? They do have a bed!
I will end Part 1 here with a screenshot of their house at this point. I feel like it’s a good start!
